UNIQUE POLKA DANCE PERFORMANCES

As far as we know, we are the ONLY Polka Dancers who have ever performed with an 80-piece Symphony Orchestra.

John Del-Homme, director of the Greenbelt Symphony Orchestra (MD), asked us to provide a Polka Dance Exhibition to their rendition of the Clarinet Polka. It was the first time his 80-piece Symphony Orchestra had ever played a polka for the general public. Their music and our dance show received a standing ovation.

Another unique event occurred when the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) was televising a series of Vince McMahon's Worldwide Wrestling Federation (WWF) shows.

One of his shows featured Ivan Putski, a Polish wrestler. The show featured Ivan's Polish Heritage, what he liked to eat, the music he liked, etc. In another segment of the show, Vince introduced Ivan's next opponent - Jessie Ventura (who later became Governor of Minnesota).

During the show, Fred Bulinski and the Brass Works (MD) provided polka music, and we provided a polka dance exhibition about halfway into the show. As the show was coming to the end, Vince, Ivan and Jessie danced a "wrestlers style" polka with Mary. What a site to behold watching Mary meet that challenge. This was really a unique FUN experience.

Who would have ever thought that Polka Entertainment would be a part of the Worldwide Wrestling Federation?
